NSRI - NATIONAL SEA RESCUE INSTITUTE
We were approached to design an info station for the NSRI, in addition to there 28 coastal and 2 inshore rescue stations countrywide for our 3rd project
The facility had to be located at Kalk bay harbour, along the water's edge. And should enhance and reflect the distinct Kalk bay character, while at the same time making a postive architectural contribution to the urban fabric.
ACCOMODATION THAT WAS TO BE PROVIDED:

building envelope maximum 100 meters squared

work space for 2 staff memebers: one admin and one research

reception/ information / exhibition / gathering space to accomodate 20 people seated

small kitchennette
